Document requests streamline the application review process by allowing you to request missing information directly through the dashboard, reducing delays and improving the applicant experience.
You can request identity documents, wage slips, bank statements, and Open Banking connections—without sending separate emails or making phone calls.
When an applicant uploads a document, you'll receive an alert via email and a notification in the dashboard.
Request identity documents
To request ID documents:
Navigate to the ID tab, then the Uploads sub-tab
Click to send a request to the applicant's email address (or enter a different email if needed)
Note: The 'reason for request' field is for internal notes only—this text will not appear in the email sent to the applicant.
How it works for applicants
Once the applicant clicks the link in their email, they're taken to a landing page where they:
Enter their name
Select which documents they're uploading
Upload files in .jpg, .png, or .pdf format (including photos taken directly from mobile devices)
Tip: If the applicant hasn't received the email, ask them to check their junk/spam folder, or resend the request.
Viewing and downloading documents
When documents are uploaded, you'll receive a confirmation email with a direct link to the decision in the dashboard.
To view uploaded documents:
Click the ID tab in the decision
Open each document individually to review, download, or save
Quick export option: If the decision is ID Only or has been Accepted, you can export all documents at once using the Action button → Export.
Requesting Financial Information
You can request applicants to provide:
Bank statements (via upload or Open Banking)
Wage slips / proof of income
Open Banking requests
For detailed information about Open Banking requests, see our dedicated article: Open Banking Requests and Tracking
Requesting wage slips
To request proof of income:

Tick the payslips option
Send the request to the applicant's email address (or enter a different email if needed)
The applicant receives an email with a link to a landing page where they can upload their wage slips.
Notifications
When you send a document request:
The request is logged on the decision
Your organisation's specified email account receives a notification
You (the user who sent the request) receive a dashboard notification as soon as the applicant completes the action
